John Weers, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Weers of this township, died in Amber, on Monday, March 8, at 10 o'clock p. m., of lung fever, after a brief illness of only three days. He had been helping his brother-in-law, Altman Smith, move to Amber, and while there was taken ill, and in spite of medical aid his soul departed for the better land. Mr. Weers would have been 18 years of age on the 23rd of this month, and his untimely death is a severe blow to his aged parents. His sister, Mrs. Smith, is also very sick with the same disease.
