Mr. Richard “Terry” Huffman, age 72 years, a resident of Harman, passed away Saturday morning, November 8th at his home.

He was born April 2, 1942 at Dryfork, WV a son of the late Richard R. Huffman and the late Orlena Huffman.

On July 24, 1964, he married Cornelia “Connie” Sites Huffman who survives at Harman.

Also surviving are two sons, Richard Alan Huffman, Elkins and Stacy Ray Huffman and wife Laura of Martinsburg, WV. One daughter, Cynthia Lynn McDaniel, Elkins, one sister, Ty “Boo” Burgess and husband Dave of Elkins, a brother Charles Hedrick and wife Rhonda, Mouth of Seneca, WV and three grandchildren, Michael Ernest McDaniel, Richard Paul Huffman and Kate E. Huffman.

Also preceding him in death was one grandson, Tyler Lee McDaniel.

Mr. Huffman was a graduate of Harman High School with the Class of 1960 and a graduate of the Nashville Auto Diesel School.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving from 1960 until 1964.

He was employed by Davison Trucking Company of Baltimore, MD and began his employment at R.H. Armstrong/ West Virginia Paving from 1970 until his retirement and was a self-employed farmer.

He was a member of H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion, St. Brendan Catholic Church in Elkins, the Farm Bureau and the NRA.

From 1970, Terry and Connie resided at their farm on Allegheny Mountain where he enjoyed hunting and fishing and working the farm.

Friends may call from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Harman Presbyterian Church.

On Wednesday, November 12th, Mr. Huffman will be moved to St. Brendan Catholic Church where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be recited at 11:00 am.

Very Rev. Donald X. Higgs, VF will be the Presider and interment will follow in the Cooper Cemetery on Allegheny Mountain where full military rites will be accorded at the gravesite by members of the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard, H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion and Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Brendan Catholic Church, RR 4 Box 515, Elkins, WV, 26241 or to a charity of choice in memory of Terry.
