Mrs. Mable L. Hockaday, 62, widow of Elmer Hockaday, died Monday night at a local hospital after a long illness.
Born at Elmo, Mo., she had spent most of her life here, but at the time of her death she was living with a son, Joseph Hockaday. Easton, Mo.
She is also survived by another son, Jesse Hockaday, St. Joseph; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Robison, St. Joseph, and Mrs. Mary Scholz, Weston, Mo.; two brothers, John Hamilton, St. Joseph, and Raymond Hamilton, Kansas City; a sister, Mrs. Melba Travis, St. Joseph; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rupp mortuary, the Rev. Robert Higgins officiating. Burial in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
