Kenneth E. Runberg, 68, Breezy Point, died Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Essentia Health, St. Joseph's Medical Center.

A memorial service was held Friday, November 14, at Park United Methodist Church.

Arrangements were by Halvorson-Johnson Funeral and Cremation Care, Brainerd Chapel.

Ken was born October 28, 1946, in Brainerd to Malcolm and Dorothy (Haugen) Runberg. He spent his life in education, starting as a social studies teacher in Brainerd at the Learning Center. He then became the Special Education Director in Wadena and in Hutchinson, then became the Director of Special Education in Roseville, the Director of Community Education, and then assistant to the Superintendent. In LaCresent, Ken was the Superintendent of Schools. The final chapter in his teaching career was in Cambridge, where he retired in 2005 as the Superintendent. He was a Sunday school teacher in Brainerd, Member of the Optimist, Sunday school teacher in Hutchinson, Staff Pastor Parish Relations Committee in Brainerd, Lions Club in Cambridge and LaCresent, President Chamber of LaCresent, and President of Corvette group.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents.
