The funeral for Donald C. Wade, 83, of Wichita, Kan., was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at First Lutheran Church, Neosho, Mo. Pastors Kenneth Wade and William Doubek officiated. Burial with military honors was held in Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements were by Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.

He was born a twin March 30, 1926, in Muskogee to Clive and Helen Heartenstein Wade and died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, in Wichita.

He attended school in Muskogee before he moved with his family to Stark City in March 1937, where he attended school at Midway. He enlisted in the Navy at age 18. He was honorably discharged June 7, 1945, and returned to Midway to graduate from high school in 1946.

He then worked as a milk and herd tester for Grade A Dairy Men’s Association and later for Coca Cola. He moved to Wichita in 1954, where he worked in the blueprint department of Boeing until 1970. He worked 10 years as a security guard for NCR, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Wichita. He lived his last five years in Homestead Health Center, Wichita.

Surviving are several nephews and one niece.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and his twin sister.
