ALLEN - POSEY

Dorothy Allen was born January 24, 1912, in Flandreau. She attended the Flandreau Public Schools, graduating in 1931. She continued her education at Haskell Institute, Lawrence, Kansas. She married Lawrence Posey of Oklahoma, and they reared one son Lawrence Posey, Jr.

Dorothy was employed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs at Window Rock, Arizona. Dorothy died May 1, 1948, in Phoenix, Arizona and is buried in the Flandreau Indian Cemetery
