Passed away December 18, 2003. Born in Los Angeles September 8, 1907; raised and resided in Highland Park until moving to Villa Gardens in Pasadena in 1987. Graduate of Franklin High School, 1926, and UCLA Teacher's College, 1931. First grade teacher at Nora Sterry Elementary School in Sawtelle, 1943-1967, where she trained many student teachers at the first grade level as part of the Teacher Training Program of the UCLA Education Department. Member of PEO Chapter CZ since 1944. Predeceased by parents Bessie Weeks Keough and John Reid Keough, sister Geraldine G. Keough (long time teacher at Van Nuys High School), cousins Nelda Irvin Murray and Andrew Murray. Survived by cousins, Bette Murray Bruce of Sparks, Nevada and Rev. James C. Murray (Anna Lee) of Metairie, Louisiana, also Joanna Murray Wulf (Dennis) and Stanley Murray (Chris) and their children. Audrae was always available to help a friend. Audrae considered friendship among life's highest priorities and she will be greatly missed by many loving, some life long, friends. Audrae outlived all the close friends from her youth, who remained vivid in her memory and in her heart. Known for her sweet, kind, patient and loving nature, her attention to detail, her handcrafting and teaching skills, her talent in watercolor painting and her Teddy Bear collection. At Audrae's request, no services were held. Cremation and placement at Forest Lawn Glendale.
