Ida Naomi "G.G." Farren passed away on Aug. 29, 2007.

Ida was born in Canada. Her family moved to Los Angeles when she was 2. Ida has lived in Los Angeles County and Ventura County, Calif., most of her life.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth Matter; daughters, Joan Mendez (husband Joe), and Fran Hix; granddaughters, Jody Jeppson, Connie Grose, and Laura Marquez; great-grandchildren, Deidre Jeppson, Corey Grose, Brianna Grose, and Tyler Jeppson.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bud Farren, and grandson Jeff Shaw.

Ida was known for her incredible sense of humor and wiliness to help in the community.

She was a member of the Hollywood Chapter 133 of Eastern Star in Pasadena; Mother of the year in Camarillo, 1980; Hospice volunteer in Ventura County; involved in many projects of the Methodist Church, and many other organizations.

Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Scleroderma Foundation or the Cancer Society.
