Injuries received when run over by a jeep at Kingston on March 16, proved fatal to John Henry Inman, age 85, of Kingston. He succumbed March 20 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Clell Jones of Huntsville. Mr. Inman suffered a broken hip and other injuries when knocked down by a jeep as it backed from a garage.

Second degree murder charges were filed against Jack Bradshaw, driver of the death vehicle, by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Frank S. Rice in the Madison County Circuit Court following the death of the aged victim. Bradshaw who was being held on a reckless driving charge, was arrested by Sheriff Berry Denney on Sunday. He was released on bail pending his appearance in Circuit Court.

Mr. Inman was married in this county on March 17, 1885, and to this union were born seven children.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Bert Inman of Huntsville and Alonzo Inman of Rte. 5, Huntsville; three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Jones and Mrs. Flora Burgess, both of Huntsville, and Mrs. Tilda Jones of Wharton. Two children, Mrs. May Steele and Arlie Earnest Inman preceded him in death. Other survivors are 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three half-brothers, Tom Berry Dotson and Albert Dotson of Huntsville and Oliver Dotson of Ontario, Calif.; two half-sisters, Rebecca Griggs of Purdy and Minnie Brown of Aurora.

Funeral services were conducted at Kingston by Rev. Cecil Garrison on March 22, with burial in the Kingston cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Dewel Jones, Noel Easterling, Virgil Inman, Arlis Inman, Paul Steele, all grandsons of the deceased.
