Daisy G. Furtak, 80, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at her home in Blair.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery in Ravenna.

Daisy Grace Furtak was born Oct. 25, 1925, in Imperial to Otto and Myrtle (Hughes) Ahrens. She graduated from Ravenna High School.
On Sept. 19, 1946, she married Raymond Furtak in Ravenna. She lived for 19 years in Ravenna, 10 years in Grand Island, two years in Alliance and, for the past 45 years, made her home in Blair.
She worked as a bank teller in Ravenna, Grand Island and Alliance, and worked in Blair at the Dana College bookstore. She enjoyed golfing with her husband and
friends, and enjoyed doing ceramics. She was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ray; two brothers and sister-in-law, Allen and Nathaleen Ahrens of Cozad, Arno Ahrens of Grand Island; sister-in-law, Roberta Hughes of Fremont; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Ahrens, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Ahrens.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
