Ronald E. Deadmond, 57, Iberia, died Sunday at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital. He was born Sept. 11, 1937, in Carlyle, Ill., a son of Larkin and Helen Huene Deadmond. His mother survives in St. Louis.
He was married Dec. 18, 1964, in Iberia to Veronica Faye Helm, who survives at the home.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Army until his retirement in 1985. He was employed as a driver trainer at Greenfield Trucking Co., Ft. Dodge, Iowa, from 1986 to 1990. He worked for J.H. Ware Trucking, Fulton, from 1990 to 1991, and was a truck driver for Creech Brothers Trucking, Troy, since 1991. He was a member of St.
Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ronald E. Deadmond Jr., Leasburg, and Floyd C. Deadmond, Missouri; two daughters, Tammy Jo Deadmond, Iberia, and Barbara Jean Deadmond, St. Louis; one brother, Robert E. Deadmond, Fenton; and grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Rev. Clarence Wiederholt will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at St. Anthony parish hall, with a Christian wake service at
7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
