Pierre Isacsson
Birth: Dec. 1, 1947
Death: Sep. 28, 1994

Singer. During the 1970's he was a member of the popular Swedish singing group Family Four. Two years in a row, 1971 and 1972, they represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest. After leaving Family Four, he commenced a successful solo career. His greatest hit was "Då går jag ner i min källare", a song in which he fully used his characteristic bass voice. He also acted in several musicals, among them "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Fantasticks". In September 1994 he worked as an entertainer on the ship "M/S Estonia", cruising Stockholm and Tallinn. The 28th of September the ship was lost at sea, and over 800 people was killed, among them Pierre Isacsson. Before drowning, he was saving the life of many other passengers. (bio by: Peter Robsahm)
