BANGOR – Ida (Sclair) Plesset, 88, died peacefully October 22, 2014, at Ruth’s House, an assisted living facility in Longmeadow, MA. She was born November 4, 1925 in Bangor, the daughter of Getchel and Kate (Golub) Sclair, and was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Lewis Plesset in 1988. Ida was educated in Bangor schools and graduated from Bangor High School in 1944. She worked for Attorney Edward Stern as a legal secretary to help support her mother after her father’s sudden death.
Ida was a lifelong member of Congregation Beth Israel and head of the telephone committee for the Friendship Club. Her day was not complete until she solved the crossword puzzle and jumble in the Bangor Daily News. Nothing made her happier than being with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Interment will be at the Beth Israel Cemetery, Bangor.
