Jane Backus was born May 11, 1923, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Baker) Backus.
Jane married Wallace Neal, and they became the parents of two daughters and a son (Linda, Vickie, and Gary).
At the age of 91, Jane Neal, of Greensburg, formerly of Jeannette, died Thursday Oct. 23, 2014, in Greensburg Care Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wallace O. Neal.
She was survived by her children, Linda Darragh, of Greensburg, Gary Neal and his wife, Vickie, of Greensburg, and Sherri Roscosky and her husband, Jim, of Irwin; three grandchildren, Jessica Waltenbaugh and her husband, Don, Renee Boby and her husband, Dylan, and Kristie Rodgers; six great-grandchildren, Shane, Blake, Jace, Ryan, Emma and Jake; a sister, Peggy Riddle, of Jeannette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
