John Hager "Jack" Randolph Jr.
TOPPING - John Hager 'Jack' Randolph Jr., of Topping, formerly of Richmond. Born in Fredericksburg, Va., on July 27, 1921, son of the late John Hager Randolph Sr. and Grace Lee Randolph, died suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003. Jack graduated from Virginia Military Institute in 1942 and served his country as a bomber pilot in World War II and the Korean War. He was former President and Chairman of the Board of Virginia Federal Savings and Loan Association. He served as President of the United States Savings and Loan League and served on the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. He was a former member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Commonwealth Club and County Club of Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Gayle Hunter Randolph; daughters, Beverly Langhorne Randolph of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Rebecca Randolph Boyers of Richmond; and grandchildren, Grace Bliss Boyers and Randolph Scott Boyers. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Philip Randolph Boyers. The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Historic Christ Church in Irvington, Va., followed by interment at 4:30 p.m. at Monticello Graveyard, Charlottesville, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 98, Deltaville, VA 23043. Arrangements by Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home, Saluda
