Nancy McCall Bashford, 87, of Raleigh died on October 22, 2014.
Nancy was born in Hendersonville, NC.
Her father, William Grayson McCall, was sheriff of Henderson County. She graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1945 and attended Furman University. She has been a Raleigh resident since marrying Ryan David Bashford in 1949.
Nancy was a long-time member of Fairmont United Methodist Church in Raleigh and, in recent years, a member of Millbrook United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of North Raleigh Woman's Club and several church circles.
Nancy was predeceased by husband, Ryan Bashford; parents, William Grayson McCall and Sudie Harton McCall; brother, Billy McCall; and sisters, Peg Ponikvar and Patricia Beall.
She is survived by daughters, Dwan Mabrey (Rick) and Nancy Stell (Decky); son, John Bashford (Susan); grandchildren, Elizabeth Wofford (Joey), Ryan Mabrey (Kara), A.G. Stell (Torri), Kathryn Stell, Maggie Bashford and Sarah Bashford; and 5 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday, October 25, 3 PM, at Millbrook United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Historic Oakwood Cemetery.
