Mary Paulette "Polly" Scott, 60, of Bedford, KY, died on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY.

She was born on August 1, 1954 in Bedford, Trimble County, KY, the daughter of Charles "Hank" Mitchell and Minnie Louise Simmons Mitchell. She worked for Grote Industries in Madison, IN, in the Shipping Department. She was a 1973 Graduate of Trimble County High School. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, bird watching, family trips and just spending time with her family. She cherished her beloved dogs, Dexter and Charlie.

She is survived by her husband, David Howard Scott of Bedford, KY, a son, Jeffery Howard Scott of Bedford, KY, a daughter, Ashley Nichole Scott of Indianapolis, IN, three brothers, Larry Wayne Mitchell and Terry Allen Mitchell, both of Bedford, KY., Charles Ray Mitchell of Carrollton, KY, a sister, Brenda (Gary) Leach of Bedford, KY, sisters-in-law, Carolyn Mitchell of Carrolton, KY, Ora Scott of Madison, IN, Mae Lopez of Burleson, TX, Anita Thompson of Louisville, KY, Mary Romans of Greensburg, IN, Phyllis Lappie of Brooksburg, IN, a brother-in-law, Robert Scott of Worthville, KY, her aunt, Thelma Ward and her companion Fordie Ford of Carrollton, KY, her uncle, Vernon (JoAnn) Simmons of Carrollton, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, David Mitchell, her maternal grandparents, Johnny and Pauline Simmons and her paternal grandparents, Otto and Mary Alice Mitchell.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton with the Rev. Pat Butcher officiating the service. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Family Worship Center from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton, KY.
