John Hennington and Ann Clement. He was born on 19 September 1837 in Crystal Springs, Copiah County, Mississippi. On 10 August 1860, he married Catherine Cornelia Slay in Crystal Springs, Copiah County, Mississippi. She was born on 18 September 1845 in Sumter County, Alabama and died in Siloam Springs, Benton County, Arkansas. Her parents were William Sidney Slay and Honor Futch. William and Catherine were the parents of 12 children: William Truman Hennington, Costlo Hennington, John H. Hennington, Alonzo Q. Hennington, Mittie Louella Hennington, Fletcher Woosley Hennington, Olney Hennington, Thomas Clement Hennington, Annie L. Hennington, Mattie Viola Hennington, Kate H. Hennington and Boyett Judson Hennington. William passed away on 2 February 1919 in Cone, Crosby County, Texas. He is buried in the Cone Cemetery.
