Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Carolyn, was called home by her Heavenly Father. She passed away peacefully at her home on October 21, 2014.

She was born October 16, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to D. Darrell and Cleo Singleton Griffiths.

Carolyn loved spending time with her family and friends and being outdoors. She enjoyed rock concerts and traveling, especially occasional day trips to Wendover.

She married Philip Fischl in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 17, 1971 and had four children together. Her proudest achievement was being a mother to her children. After twenty-five years of marriage, they divorced.

She married Russell Pelton on the beaches of Hawaii on February 20, 2002 and divorced ten years later.

She made many friends over the thirteen years she worked at IHC. She retired on April 1, 2014 to help care for her twin granddaughters.

She met and touched many people's lives during her lifetime. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her four children, David (Cristen) Fischl, Lisa (Brad) Makin, Christine (Jeff) Todd, and Aaron Fischl (Cat Frandsen); her brother, Brent; her sister, Marilyn; and seven grandchildren; as well as all her nieces and nephews, too numerous to list but she loved very much. Preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Park First Ward Chapel, 4825 West 7000 South. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
