Gerald Joseph Cyr enlisted in the Army Air Corps in November of 1942. He was the sole survivor when the B-24, Lillie Bell, on which he was the bombardier ditched into the North Sea on 6 Mar 1944. He gave a personal account of the ditching of the plane.
According to the Maine Marriage Records, Joseph G Cyr married Marion Roma on 28 Jun 1945 in Old Town, Maine.
