Ward S. Smith was born Jan. 21, 1923 in Omaha, Nebraska to Ward K and Inez V (Summers) Smith.

He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the Navy Seabees. After 3 years of service in the South Pacific, he worked in the construction business, retiring in Florida in 1986. Mr. Smith was president of the Omaha Home Builders in 1963.

Left with memories are his wife of 37 years, Marguerite, of Kennard; daughters and sons-in-law: Tamela and Phil Webb, Debra and Monte Campbell; stepson, John C. Tess and wife Colleen; 3 grandsons; 2 step-grandchildren.

Ward S. Smith, 82, of Kennard, Nebraska, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at the Thomas Fitzgerald Veterans Home in Omaha, Nebraska.

Graveside service 11 am at Forest Lawn Cemetery. No Visitation.
