Sarah was the daughter of Joseph W. Wood and Virginia C. Unknown/Wood.(Born about 1827) She was born 10/29/1846 in South Carolina and died 10/21/1927 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. She was widowed, her husband dying in 1899, also in Atlanta. He is also buried here with her. She died of a cerebral hemorrhage and hypostatic pneumonia. Mrs. W. P. Streater (her daughter)gave information for the death certificate.

Sarah's brother Walter B. Wood, is also buried here.

Sarah's mother was Virginia C. Wood, b. 1827 in South Carolina. She is shown on the 1880 census, living with Sarah and John T. Adair.

The Atlanta Constitution - ADAIR - Mrs. John T. Adair died at a private sanitarium Friday night in her 80th year. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. W. P. Streater and one sister, Mrs. J. E. Hurst. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Harry G. Poole, funeral director.
