Philip Lee May, 72, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at home. He was born in American Fall, Idaho on June 22, 1942 the son of Joseph Lee and Anna (Fifield) May. Philip received his education K-12 in Rockland, ID, and attended one semester at Ricks College.Philip married Arlene Jones and they later divorced. He then married the love of his life, Patty Quinn Jensen on July 15, 1995, and they were later sealed for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple.He worked for the Ford Garage and auto body shop in Garland, UT, road construction with Legrand Johnson in Logan, UT, Aberdeen/Springfield Irrigation, and Rockland Telephone/Direct Communications.Philip was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints Century Ward. He was a Webelos Scout Leader, in the Elders Quorum, Sunday School Teacher, and Assistant Co-Coordinator with his wife at Quail Ridge, Home Teacher and served a building mission in the Central States from 1963-1964.He loved four wheeling with his wife and family, flying remote control air planes, road trips, the Utah Jazz and was a Denver Broncos fan and spending time with his grandkids, always busy with projects & doing things for other people.Philip is survived by his loving wife; step-son, Jeff (Amber) Jensen of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren, Tanna and Zack Jensen both of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Joyce (Bud) Claunch of Blackfoot, ID, sister-in-law, Katie May Anderson of Rockland, ID, brother, John (Dianne) May of Rockland, ID; sister, Afton (Gene) Jacobsen and brother, Charles (Janet) May both from Brigham City, UT; and Leonard (Marilyn) May of Rockland, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Anna May, and a brother, Merrill May. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11 AM at the Century Ward Building, 4th and Fredrigill Rd, Pocatello, ID.Family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID 208-233-1500 and for one hour prior to services at the church.Burial will follow in the Rockland Cemetery, Rockland, ID.Condolences can be made to the family online at www.colonial-funeralhome.com
