Charles & his first wife Augusta both both immigrants from Germany settled in Washington D.C. where he worked as a gardener and began raising their family upon her death in 1879 he married again to Johanna Buchsteiner in Washington Dc on March 10, 1881 and they continued to live in Washington D.C. until their deaths

On Tuesday April 6 1926 beloved Father Charles Henry Heitmuller ,son of the Late Christian Heitmuller & Maria Dohrmann.Brother of the late Henry & Christian Heitmuller.Preceeded in death by both of his wives Augusta Laura Heitmuller & Johanna Buchsteiner Heitmuller.
