Luther Green Cole age 77 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his home. He was born July 3, 1937 in Carver, Kentucky to the late John and Nannie Salyer Neighbors Cole. He was the husband of the late Louella Barton Cole. Survivors include one step son, Sidney Sprague of Lexington, Kentucky, one step daughter; Rebecca Clark of Dayton, Ohio, six nephews, three nieces, and several step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Luther is preceded in death by six brothers; Custer Cole, Frank Cole, Oscar Cole, Morris Cole, Herbert Cole, and Cash Cole, and two sisters; Hazel Schall, and Vera Gann.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Adam Dewayne Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Minix Cemetery at Oakley, Kentucky. Friends may call the funeral home after 5 pm Monday, October 20, 2014, all day Tuesday, and anytime Wednesday prior to funeral services.
There will be military rites given by the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 the day of the funeral.
