Kenneth A. Brooks, 81, Raytown, MO, passed away October 26, 2005. Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2005, at Missouri Funeral Care, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Kenneth was born March 21, 1924, in Audrain County, MO, the son of Alvy Bertram and Cecil Mae (Snell) Brooks. He was a WWII Navy Veteran who served in the South Pacific. Kenneth worked for GM for 30 years at the Delco plant in Olathe, KS, and was a member of UAW #1021. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Raytown for 43 years. He married Dorothy (Heath) June 8, 1946, in Hannibal, MO. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dorothy, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Frank and Mary Brooks, Winter Haven, FL; son, Christopher Brooks, KCMO; daughter and son-inlaw Tori and Dick Michael, Grain Valley, MO; grandchildren, Tim and Valerie Michael, Blue Springs, MO, Hollie and Darryl Shippy, Blue Springs, MO, Katie and Regan Stoops, Wheaton, IL, Ruth Brooks, Plant City, FL; greatgrandchildren, Taylor and Payton Shippy, and Trent and Olivia Michael.
