Denzol O. "D.O." Corn, 84, of Rushville, died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at his home.
Born Aug. 9, 1921, in Bluffton, IN, he was the son of the late Samuel and Gladys (Zink) Corn. He married Ruby Wolf Sept. 23, 1944; she survives.
He worked as a general contractor for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the American Legion. Mr. Corn was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors in addition to his wife include one son, Dennis "Denny" Corn (and wife Rita) of Rushville; one daughter, Cheryl (Mrs. Joseph) Taylor of Corydon; four grandchildren Eric Taylor, Doug Corn, John Corn & Kimberly Meridith; and five great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Omel Corn and one sister, Anna Louise Bitner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville with the Rev. William Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville, with a Rosary service scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
