Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll at with Pastor Brian Licht officiating.
Visitation will be at the church beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Organist for the service will be Jan Hoff. Casket bearers will be Millie's grandchildren. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Lidderdale.

Mildred “Millie” Caroline Helmkamp, age 92, of Carroll passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll at with Pastor Brian Licht officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Organist for the service will be Jan Hoff. Casket bearers will be Millie’s grandchildren. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Lidderdale.
Born on July 19, 1920 in Carroll, Iowa, she was the daughter of John and Caroline (Koppelman) Wenck. She was baptized on September 24, 1920 in the Methodist Church and she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on April 14, 1935 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lidderdale. Millie grew up on a farm west of Lidderdale. She attended rural schools in Sheridan Township. Millie was married to Carl William Helmkamp on May 8, 1938 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lidderdale by Pastor Herrman. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll. Mrs. Helmkamp was a homemaker and a nurse’s aide for 28 years at the Carroll Health Center. She enjoyed dancing, going to fairs, following the Carroll Tigers and supporting the CHS Booster Club, and spending time with her family and friends.
Millie is survived by four sons: Donald C. Helmkamp and his wife Wanda of Royal, Iowa, John Helmkamp and his wife Theresa of Ankeny, Iowa, Stanley Helmkamp and his wife Lila of Broomfield, Colorado, and Jeff Helmkamp and his wife Dawn of Carroll; two daughters: Paulette Hill and her husband Joe of Christoval, Texas, and Janet King and her husband Sid of Napa, California; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Agnes Onken of Carroll; and many nieces and nephews.
Millie was preceded in death by parents, her husband Carl in 1975, two sons: Richard and James, two brothers: Clarence and Louis Wenck; and a sister Helen Beckman.
