George C. Shearer. 62. of 502 Daisy St., Clearfield, died in the Clearfield Hospital at 6:15 a. m. today.
He was a retired employe of Harbison - Walker Refractories and a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and the Elk Hose Company.
Mr. Shearer was born at Clearfield Nov. 16, 1901, a son of James and Ara Ann (Maines) Shearer, both deceased.
He is survived by his wife, the former Grace Rothrock; two sons: Robert of Clearfield and George A. of Youngstown, Ohio; one daughter: Mrs. Duane (Pleasant) Peters of Woodland; two brothers: Harvey Shearer of Avis and Howard Shearer of Ohio; and one sister, Mrs. Pleasant Larchuck of Pittsburgh.
He also leaves seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p, m. from the Bennett Funeral Home with the Rev. E. Roy Hauser, D.D., in charge. Burial will be made in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p. m. tomorrow until time of services Monday.
