MR. JOE “PAP” BOUTWELL, JR., age 82, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, September 26, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, September 29, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Dr. Donnie Sutton officiating, with interment in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Boutwell was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member and former deacon of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a retired machine operator for Bassett Furniture, of Dublin, for over 32 years. He assisted his son Earl at B & B Deer Processing for over 25 years, was son of the late Gladys Bass Boutwell & Joe Ozro Boutwell and widower of Betty Rogers Boutwell.
He was preceded in death by 2 Sons – Charles David Boutwell and Bobby Ray Boutwell and 3 Siblings – Joyce Williams, Ludi Mae Crutchfield and Yogi Boutwell.
Survivors: Son – Earl Boutwell (Skyla) of Eastman; 2 Sisters – Betty B. Holland (Terry) of Cadwell and Mary Ann Graham (Johnny Ray) of Roberta; Brother – Eddie Boutwell (Evelyn) of Gainesville, GA; 2 Brothers-in-Law – Wilson “Red” Rogers of Eastman and Hershel Couey of Wrightsville; Sister-in-Law – Rita Rogers of Warner Robins; 8 Grandchildren – Mallory Brook McClelland (Andy), T. C. Boutwell (Kaysi), Brandon Boutwell, Clay Boutwell, P. J. Boutwell Rankey, Anthony Manning (Leah), Evan Manning (Jera) and Jennifer Brinson (Chris); Several Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
The family may be contacted at the Boutwell residence, 226 Griffin Avenue, Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 5:00PM-7:00PM Sunday, September 28.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church.
