Virginia, 90, of Rives Junction, MI. went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2014. Virginia was the daughter of Andrew and Joana Ball.

She graduated from Jackson High School in 1942 and then went to beauty school. Virginia owned Helen's Beauty Shop in Jackson from 1949 - 1957. She also worked for Aeroquip and retired from there in 1982. Virginia attended the Calvary United Methodist Church for many years.

Surviving are her two children, Jena (James) Keesler of Rives Junction and Mike (Denise) Bickford of Lansing; seven grandchildren, Poni (Timothy) Altvater of Fallbrook, CA, Thomas (Michelle) Frederick of Kalamazoo, Carrie (Ryan) Latourette of Grand Ledge, Jason (Tonia) Bickford of Ann Arbor, Shawn Bickford of San Antonio, TX, Elizabeth Keesler of Kalamazoo and Sarah Keesler of Grafton, OH; seven great-grandchildren, Destiny Altvater of Miami Beach, FL, Riannan Altvater of Carlsbad, CA, Anne Marie Latourette of Grand Ledge, Emma Latourette of Grand Ledge, Tyler Hill of Jonesville, Kyle Bickford of Spring Lake, MI and Camille Bickford of Harrison; two siblings, Vivian Johnson of Lansing and Roland Ball of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Bickford, Jr., her parents, and one brother, Andrew (Jack) Ball, Jr.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church or Allegiance Hospice.

Services celebrating Virginia's life were held at the Calvary United Methodist Church, Jackson, MI on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, with Pastor Edrye Maurer officiating.
Interment will follow with a memorial dove release.
