Fenton A. "Slim" McClain, 84, of Butler, died at 9:40 a.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital. Born December 9, 1913, he was the son of Lewis and Dessie (Simpson) McClain. He was a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church of Glade Mills and Knights of Columbus, Holy Sepulcher Council 10175. He retired in 1972 as a machinist at Pittsburgh Gear.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy K. (Milka) McClain whom he married Oct. 22, 1992; a son, Daniel McClain of Cochranton; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Patrick (Nancy) Mills of Cabot; four stepsons, James Frederick of Pittsburgh, David Frederick of Renfrew, Gary Frederick of Blairsville and Stephen Frederick of Moundsville, W. Va.; a sister, Grace Chuhra of East Brady; a brother, J. Greer McClain of Chicora; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Blanche (Leas) McClain, died March 27, 1992.
