Duncan Banner, Mon., Mar. 13, 2006 BEATRICE LOUISE CARTWRIGHT, 84, of Duncan, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006, in Duncan. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Roger Simms officiating. Burial will be in Alma Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Beatrice was born Aug. 7, 1921, in Wilson, to John and Jesse Plimmins Eakins. She was a member of Velma Baptist Church. She was a past member of the Loco Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and helped with the Rainbow Girls, also in Loco. She worked for 14 years at Duncan Regional Hospital and was a devoted homemaker and mother. Survivors include seven children, Dale Cartwright and Gayle Henson, both of Leander, Texas, Rita Ingram of Pawnee Rock, Kan., Don Cartwright of Duncan, Lola Bartling of Velma, Diane Bass of Dripping Springs, Texas, and Dean Cartwright of Elgin; a brother, Bill Eakins of Lone Grove; three sisters, Lois Cartwright of Gainesville, Texas, Pauline Hodges of Wilson, and Christine Williams of Rubottom; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Gaylon Kilgore; and two sisters, Betty Carlie and Arlene Wade.
