D. C. Hall, 94, went to be with his Lord, Jesus, Friday, Sept. 19, 2014. A native of Clay County, he'd lived in Haywood County since 1942. He was the son of the late DeWitt Clinton Hall and Lizzie Welch Hall.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Setzer Hall; an infant son, Allen Clinton Hall; a daughter Martha Jean Hall; seven brothers and five sisters.
D.C. worked at Champion Papers in Canton for 33 years. He was also a member of Dutch Cove Baptist Church. He loved helping others, making a garden and sharing it with family and friends. He enjoyed working on cars.
