FRUIT HEIGHTS--Elaine Marilyn Porter Abram, 60, passed away Monday, December 25, 1995 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City.
She was born October 24, 1935 in Tooele, Utah, a daughter of Ahaz A. and Lillian Sterzer Porter. She married Joseph A. Abram, June 22, 1961 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was reared and educated in Tooele and graduated from Tooele High School.
She worked as a legal secretary for the Department of the Interior. She was an active member of the Fruit Heights 5th LDS Ward and held many positions. She was concerned with others' needs and loved gardening, growing roses and quilting. She was a wonderful, loving wife and mother to us and we will miss her.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph, Fruit Heights; two sons and three daughters, D. Kelly Abram, Robert Abram, both of Fruit Heights; Teri (Douglas) Nielson, Layton; Angie Abram, Holladay; Katie Jo Abram, Fruit Heights; one grandson and one brother, Glenn (Bonnie) Porter, Fruit Heights (currently serving a Washington D.C. Temple mission).
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 29, 1995, 10 a.m. at the Fruit Heights 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 24 So. Country Lane, Fruit Heights. Family and friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main and Friday at the church from 9-9:45 a.m. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
