Georgia D. Orr, age 80, of Raytown, Missouri, formerly of Clinton, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at Hidden Lake Care Center in Raytown, Missouri surrounded by her family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 25th, 2014 at Englewood Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Associations. Georgia was born November 15th, 1933 the daughter of Roy and Mary (Nichols) Raymond of Coal, MO. Georgia sold real estate for many years and served as the tax collector for Clinton Township for 25+ years before retiring in 2007. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray Orr Jr., one daughter Lora Simmons, and one sister Dixie Rhinehart. Survivors include 2 sisters; Jane Tope of Raytown, MO and Jewell Fowler of Longview, WA, 1 brother; Glen Raymond oLee’s Summit, MO, 1 daughter; Deborah Wolff (Steve) of Kansas City, MO, 2 sons; Thomas Hetherington (Susan) of Gladstone, MO, and Max Hetherington of Montrose, MO, 2 step daughters; Linda Gibbons (Sam), and Patricia Leonard (John), both of Clinton, MO, 1 step son Ronnie Orr, of Clinton, MO. 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many loved friends.
