Tadeusz was born in Wildflecten in the Bad Kissinengen District Germany, a municipality on the border of Bavaria and Hessen the son of Michael Borowski and Magdalena N. Borowski of South Bend Indiana. He was the dear brother sisters, Donna, Jeanette, and Helen Browski; and brothers Zbigniew, George, and Richard Borowski. On October 29, 1964 he enlisted in the US Marine Corps in Chicago Illinois. In 1965 he arrived in Vietnam with Company G, 2d Battalion, 7th Marines, 3D MARDIV (Rein) FMF and was wounded on December 17, 1965. Cpl Borowski arrived in Vietnam for his second tour on February 23 1968 where he was assigned to and served with Company C, 1st Battalion, 27th Marines, 1st MARDIV (Rein) FMF.

During the month of June the 1st Battalion, 27th Marines with supporting units were participating on Operation ALLEN BROOK on a search and clear mission in Go Noi Island, Quang Nam Province.

On June 4, in the vicinity of Liberty Bridge, near the site of a temporary Command Post a booby trap was tripped causing an explosion. The hostile pressure active explosive device killed two Marines. One of the casualties was Cpl Tadeusz Borowski who died from the deadly exploding shrapnel.
