Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Friday, July 10, 1959, page 2:
  Mrs. Anna Baumgartner, 81, a Worden resident for many years, died Thursday at 7:10 p.m. at the Madison County nursing home in Edwardsville.
  She was born Sept. 13, 1877 in Germany, a daughter of the late Dietrick and Helena Eilers Cassens. Her husband, George Baumgartner, died Feb. 6, 1952, and a son, Ira, and a daughter, Leota, also preceded her in death.
  Survivors are a son, Rolla G. of Worden; one daughter, Mrs. Max (Alice) Weber, Hamel; one brother, George Cassens, also of Hamel; a sister, Mrs. Emma Deye, Stoughton, Wis.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
  Mrs. Baumgartner was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, Worden, where final rites will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. W.L. Stellwagen officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran church, Hamel.
  Friends may call at the Williamson funeral home in Worden after 2 p.m. Saturday until 12 noon Sunday when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the service.

Pallbearers were Herman Hering, Alex Schneider, Bernard Sandbach, Otto Laws, Edwin Behme and William Emrich.
