A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Pastor David Kominsky officiating. A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Cemetery.
Born February 25, 1926, in Chanceford Twp., Zelda was a daughter of the late Clinton O. and Myrtle S. (Wise) Grove.
She worked for Danskin for 23 years until her retirement. Mrs. Grove was a lifelong member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Red Lion. She was also a member of the York Hospital Guild, the Felton Fire Company Auxiliary, and AARP. Zelda was a wonderful cook, enjoyed working in her flower gardens, and was an avid blood donor.
Mrs. Grove is survived by a son, Randy Grove of Red Lion; two sisters, Fern Workinger of Red Lion, and Arlene Warner and her husband, Richard of Red Lion; 13 nieces and nephews; and a very special great-great-nephew, Henry Snyder of Chanceford Twp. In addition to her husband and parents, Zelda was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
