Daughter of Harry and Margaret Settergren.

Violet was widowed three times.
Her first husband was Harry Ruckoldt. He was born 1 Feb 1920 in Chicago. Cook, IL to George Ruckoldt and Eva M. Andres. He enlisted on 12 Jun 1942 and served with the IL 322nd Infantry, 81st Division, he was killed in action on 1 Oct 1944 during the Korean War.

Her second husband was LeRoy Spriggs.

Her third and final marriage was to Bernard Richard "Barney" Attenbrooke, son of Mr. and Mrs. B.R. Addenbrooke, Reno pioneer family; his father ran the old Colorado Grocery Store for many years, he passed away about 1941. Barney was a veteran journeyman electrician who met his fate while building the electrical station in Hawthorne, in a tragic accident, he was electrocuted.
He was survived by his wife, son Barnry, both of Hawthorne; his mother, residing at Seal Beach, CA; 3 sisters, Mrs. Martha Lee Kervin, Mrs. Fred Vale and Mrs. Harvey Ford, all of Fullerton, CA.
