Dorothy was a beloved mother and grandmother. Some of her interests included gardening, dancing, playing the piano, crocheting, writing, and arts and crafts. During her lifetime she was involved in civic, philanthropic and religious activities as a member of the Kings Daughters, the Does of the BPOE, a circle at Shandon United Methodist Church where she was a a member prior to becoming Greek Orthodox. Also she and her late husband Bob Brennan were Charter Members and Founders of the Capital Senior Center.
Her most noted accomplishment was her following Christ's command to love your neighbor as you love yourself using the Good Samaritan as the example. Dorothy truly was a Good Samaritan because she took in her daughter and two grandsons who were left homeless and penniless after the death of her daughter's husband. Dorothy gave them food, shelter and love.
Mrs. Brennan was predeceased by several siblings and also by her granddaughter, Anna Maria Paradeses
