Raymond L. Allbright, 69, an Asotin retiree who worked for Potlatch Corp. for 32 years, died Saturday night at 9:10 at Tri-State Memorial Hospital of a liver ailment. He had been ill for two weeks.

A native of Cloverland, he lived at Asotin for 35 years. He retired from the servicing department at Potlatch in 1970.

The son of Edward O. and Martha Allbright, he was born Oct. 12, 1906. he attended the old Allbright School at Cloverland and later Asotin High School for two years. He left high school to help his parents on the family farm during the depression years. He later lived in the Lewiston Orchrds for a time and went to work for Potlatch.

He married Thelma Carlstrom and they were later divorced. On Jan. 2, 1943, he married Velva May Bressler at Lewiston. She died Feb. 2, 1969.

Survivors include two daughters; three sons, two stepsons, three stepdaughters, four sisters; 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Merchant Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Hanold of the Clarkston Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Vineland Cemetery.
