Jeri “Jelly” Hollis

Mary Geraldine “Jelly” Hollis 91formerly of Tuttle, OK, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the home of her son Ricky and was surrounded by her family. She was born in Tuttle, OK and was the daughter of the late Felix Lynn and Oma Rosemond (Oliver) Bowman. She was the widow of Lenniel “Ed”. Hollis who died in 1984.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws: Dan’l and Carla Hollis of Denver, CO and Ricky L. and Nancy Hollis of Palmyra, PA; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Jeri was a life-long member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Tuttle, and served as the state president of Oklahoma for one year. She was also active in the Boy Scouts and served as an Oklahoma Girl’s State Counselor.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at The First Baptist Church of Tuttle, 14 SW 2nd Street, Tuttle at 9:00 a.m. with visitation from 8:30-9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson OK.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
