Mrs. Goodnight Dies at Holland; Rites Held There

Mrs. T. W. Goodnight, 79, died at her home in Holland Tuesday night at 11 o'clock after a brief illness.

She was born March 21, 1864 in Alabama, and came to Texas with her parents when seven years of age, to the holland Community, and had lived there since that time. She was formerly Miss Texanna Moore and was married to Tom W. Goodnight in 1879. He preceded her in death in 1930. She was a member of the baptist church.

She is survived by three sons, O. W. of Dallas, Dr. T. L. of Caldwell, Joe of Holland; one daughter, Mrs. J. B. Burns of Dallas; eleven grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; three brothers, Rev. A. L. Moore of El Paso, Henry Moore of Gatesville, Monroe Moore of Holland; one sister, Mrs. A. O. Grissom of Altus, Oklahoma.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Baptist church of Holland, conducted by Rev. M. G. Ellis and Rev. C. T. Brocket. Burial was in the Holland Cemetery, Hewett in charge.
