Mamie Caldwell Brown,94, of Little East Fork Road, entered into the arms of the
angels on Saturday, March 15, 2014.
Mrs. Brown was born August 16, 1919 in Haywood County to the late Rubin Caldwell
and the late Sarah Sutton Caldwell. She had made her home in Haywood County all
of her life and she was a dedicated homemaker. Mamie was a talented craft
artisan and her beautiful handmade quilts and delicate crocheted bedspreads were
admired by everyone. She was a devoted member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church
where she had taught Bible school and also sang in the church choir. Everyone
blessed to know Mrs. Brown- loved her. Her precious memory will be cherished
forever.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bartley
Edgar Brown; her sons, Eddie Brown and Wayne Brown; two granddaughters; two
sisters and four brothers.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at
Inman Chapel Cemetery.
