Major League Baseball Player. The right-hander burst onto the scene in 1952 as a 28-year-old rookie with the St. Louis Cardinals by posting a 12-2 record and 2.72 earned run average as a reliever. He and veteran left-hander Al Brazle formed the most effective bullpen in the National League. They combined to appear in 100 of the team's 154 games and produced a 24-7 record with 22 saves. Yuhas never won another game as he developed a mysterious arm ailment the following spring. (bio by: Ron Coons)
