2nd Lt. Billy G. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Adams, Grand Saline.

He graduated at Bolton H.S. and Draughon's, Fort Worth.

Entered U.S. Army Air Corps in 1943 and trained in Shawnee, Okla. and Sand Antonio, Texas.

He was killed in plane crash, 1944.

Served with the 214th Combat Crew Training Squadron.

He was the Navigator aboard B-24J Liberator #42-73375. He was killed when a crash landing was made due to engine failures, five miles north of Peterson Field, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Also killed in the crash were:

1st Lt. Charles H. Everett (pilot)
2nd Lt. Robert E. Cockrell (co-pilot)
S/Sgt. John D. Di Marino
S/Sgt. Furnifold M. Simmons
