Mrs. Edna York Claus, 77 of 371 South Broadway, widow of Jack A. Claus, died at 5:45 a.m. yesterday at Central Baptist Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, she was a daughter of the late Robert A. and Sophronia Ragan York. A retired Wayne County school teacher, Mrs. Claus received her early education in Wayne County schools. She was a member of Calvary Baptist church.
Her survivors include a niece, Mrs. William Thurston, Somerset and a nephew, Robert Kindrick, Amhurst, Ohio.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Saturday at the W. R. Milward Mortuary — Broadway by the Rev. Franklin Owen. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Bearers will be William R. Paul, Kenneth L. Thurston, George Thurman, V E. Burgess, Encil Deen and A H. Grider -The Lexington Herald, Friday, May 21
