Cora A. Alexander, 95, Iberia, died Sunday at Dixon Oaks Health Center. She was born Sept. 30, 1897, in Maries County, a daughter of William and Lumima Brumble Blankenship. She was married July 11, 1919, in Tuscumbia
to Melvin Alexander, who died Nov. 10, 1950. She was a homemaker and a member of Alder Springs Church of Christ.
Survivors include: four sons, Carlis Alexander, Dixon, Edward Alexander, Campbell, Myrl Alexander, Henley, and Melvin Alexander Jr., Iberia; three daughters, Iris Dake, Dixon, Donna Sisk, Blue Springs, and Marie Kavanaugh, Ontario, Canada; 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. One son, Winston Alexander, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home, Iberia. Bro. Jack Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, Dixon. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
