James Ollie Hatcher age 91 of Maryville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2014 at Kindred Healthcare.

He was born on December 10, 1922, the son of Ollie Hatcher and Nora Carr Hatcher. James was the owner and operator of Hickory Corner since 1958 and owned and operated Blount County School buses for 30 years. He was also an avid camper and member of the NCHA. He was a member of Oak View Baptist Church in Maryville, Tennessee.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Ollie & Nora Hatcher; Brothers, Bascum & Cecil Hatcher; Sisters, Viola Donaldson, Emmer Newman, and Autie Patty.

He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Lydia Satterfield Hatcher; Daughters, Joyce Emert & Susan Newport; Sons, Jimmy (Kim) Hatcher and Tom (Donna) Hatcher; Grandchildren, Rob Emert, Brad Hatcher (Amanda), Carrie Jo Major (Mark), Steve Emert (Melissa), Ernie Huling, Dustin Hatcher, and Adam Hatcher; Eight Great-Grandchildren; Three Great-Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Clara Dunn; Sister-in-law, Virginia Hatcher.

Friends and family may come by the family home at 4560 Sevierville Road at their convenience on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. or to Smith Funeral & Cremation Service to pay their respects.

Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Scott Huffstetler officiating.
